On Saturday, December 11, the Area Office of the Carolinas hosted its 2nd Annual Holiday Open House. The open house allowed residents in our community to learn more about our work. There were various activities to coincide with different program focuses. Visitors packed relief kits for our friends in Haiti, films were shown from the storyology project which gave immigrant and refugees in Charlotte, NC an opportunity to tell their stories, and people signed holiday peace cards and took photos on why they support peace.
The open house was a success in that it allowed AFSC staff and interns a chance to meet supporters and Greensboro residents. Below is a film made from the peace photos and footage from the open house.
