Immigration Resource Toolbox Now Available

As the immigration debate heats up once again, it is imperative that the necessary resources are made available so that we may make informative and compassionate contributions to the public discourse. The American Friends Service Committee, a multi-faith organization committed to social justice, peace, and humanitarian service, has partnered with the North Carolina Council of Churches to create an immigration resource toolbox for the faith-based community. This collection of resources includes economic and legal facts about immigration, ideas for worship, and tips on how to get involved on the local and state levels.

There are two versions of the toolbox available––a North Carolina version and a Greensboro-specific version––both of which can be accessed online and downloaded for free at www.welcometheimmigrant.org/toolbox. We also have a limited number of hardcopies available for pickup at the AFSC offices in Greensboro. If you decide to download the toolbox online we kindly ask that you e-mail us with any feedback you might have to offer as much time and effort went into creating the toolbox and comments would be greatly appreciated. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to email me at sbfurr2@uncg.edu or call our office at 336-854-0633. Thanks!
